It is just a little over a week from what would be Landon's 2nd birthday. On his birthday last year, I felt soo fortunate to be able to hold him and sing to him and just be with him. I prayed we would have a second birthday to share with him.


I, of course am feeling a bit emotional with this coming day, May 30th. The fundraiser has been soo wonderful. SO many people fell in love with him and I am soo glad so many will be with us to share in his special day with us. Please pray for my strength in the coming weeks. It seems


that the time between holidays, special birthdays, and then the 1 year of his passing is going by so quickly. These days are very difficult and I try soo very hard to get through them and be soo grateful the time we had. Squeeze your kids tight and send balloons in the air on May 30th in Landon's honor.

PreSchool Grad!

Yes, Paige is now a grad! I am so proud of her. They sang Down By the Bay, which by the way is forever stuck in my head.
Then they got there "diplomas". Then we ate and she played with all her friends, until it started to rain. It was overcast and lightening, but the weather held out perfectly! She was very excited. We were not home until close to 9pm. Then of course she had to eat somthing, take a bath and she was right to bed. She was totally wiped from the day.
This morning I woke up at 8am, way overslept, had to be to work at 830a. Kindof tough since I live 20-25 miles from work. I threw on some clothes, wiped my face off, threw my makeup in a bag, got Paige dressed and out the door we went. I was at work at 8:40am. Wow!
It really would not have been too big a deal, but the other girl who works with me was out this morning, and I had a client that was supposed to call me right at 830a. Luckily she was running late as well and didn't call until 1030am. Geesh! I am sitting quietly enjoying some much needed coffee!

Wow, Where is May going?
I had a good/very emotional Mother's day. It harder than I expected and the emotions wore me out a bit. I awoke to Paige's sweet smile, wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. She even slept in until 730A. Nice! Then she went with Mike for a bit, which gave me time to go get a few flowers potted and taken to the cemetary.
Paige has not had a headache/migraine since we stopped the Claratin, so I am keeping my fingers crossed, they will continue to decrease! I do believe she is going through another growth spurt, she is eating sooo much! She is talking about Landon so very much and misses him a ton. I have a feeling this will conintue to happen as she gets older and understands more. She wants to say prayers for him at night before bed now! That is soo awesome, she was soo afraid to do so before.
We have busy weekends ahead. Next weekend we will be in Estes Park helping out with a fundraiser for my neice and nephews school. Then the following weekend we will be up there again celebrating my nephews 5th b-day, and my sister from KS and her family will be out as well, and helping get prepared for the walk and Paige's baptism.

Mother's Day

Dandelions from Heaven

Mothers Day is coming and I wanted to send you a
sign. Something you can tell others…."It is from an angel of mine." So I
searched the heavens high and low for that perfect thing. And low and behold I
found it and I hope a smile it will bring.
So when you look to the heavens and see the yellow stars in the sky Just think
of me…your angel….in the Heavens way up high. And just imagine those stars are
dandelions up above.. Yes Dandelions are also in Heaven, which you know how much
I love! So on this Mother’s Day when you awake and feel blue You will notice
those stars are no longer in view. So just look to the meadows and the
dandelions you will see, Are the ones I’ve tossed down this Mother’s Day from
me! And when you have found a dandelion that has turned from yellow to white
You’re suppose to make a wish and blow with all your might. For you will be
blowing kisses to me in Heaven above And I will be catching them and blowing
them back, sent with all my love. Please know that I am with you on this
Mother’s Day. And also in the days ahead….God and I will neverstray. We will be
with you when you say your prayers, when the day is done. For now I can be
everywhere and God will be your guide. Remember when you see the dandelions, it
is your guarantee That I am always close to you, for dandelions are free to roam

Beware

Paige was started on an allergy med last week because of swollen tonsils and sinus's. We were hoping maybe it will helpo with her headaches as well.
It made it worse! Since she started, she has had horrible headaches, crying in pain and stomach pains along with it, has been tired and very irritable. I left work early to pick her up at daycare yesterday because of another headache, so as she slept it off, I decided to pull up the side effects!
I was soo disgusted with what I found, i wish I would have looked before I gave the medicine. It is OTC and can have horrible side effects. Poor girl! I have stopped the med and hopefully that will help her headaches she has had this past week.
Lesson learned, before giving anything look it up.

5 year shots took there toll!

Paige got her 5 year shots last Wed. Upon picking her up from school, she had tons of energy and as she opened the car door to get in, said oh yeah, mom I have a headache! I still had some IB in the car, so I immediately gave it to her. Went home she had just a tad bit of fever and acted very very tired, so she went to bed at 615p and slept till 615a. Was fine on Thurs and Friday, I noticed her leg was hugely sollen and had a red rash all over. Saturday she swam and played hard all day. Sunday she was tired, slept for an hour and woke with a really bad headache and tummy ache, she finally felt better about 4pm and played fine. Then she woke at 3A with a 102.8 fever, I gave IB and Tylenol, she woke up at 6a and felt 100% fine, she battled the fever for the day, although she felt just fine. It finally kicked Monday night and still is fine.
Obviously she had some sort of reaction to the shot, although the doc office says it is normal.
Her tonsils and sinuses were swollen, and he thinks she definitely has some allergy problems, hence maybe the cause of some of her headaches. So we are giving her children's claritin to see if that helps things a bit. I expected her to get a cold, the way she was acting, but nothing showing so far!
I also have a lump under my armpit and saw my doc, he thinks it is just a cyst, but will give it 4-6 weeks to see if it goes away and if not then he will take it out and have it tested.
No more doctors please!
