I am soooooo guilty of....

Bribing! Oh I hate when I bribe,

Paige has about 10 pairs of nice comfy cloth shorts, and for some reason, she won't even look at them let alone put them on her tiny bottom! UGGH!!!!
So this morning our conversation went like this...................After we went through 5 pairs of shorts with a big fat NO!

Me: "Will you please wear these shorts"
Paige: "No"
Me: "You know Taylor Swift made these shorts" (white lies don't hurt right!)
Paige: "She did!"
Me: "Oh Yeah, she has her own line of clothes you know"
Paige: "Really!"
Me: "Yep, will you wear them now?"
Paige: "No!"
Me: " You know, not only did she make them, but she wears a pair just like these, cause they are sooo cool, now will you wear them"
Paige: "NO!"
Me: "OK fine, if you put those shorts on I'll buy you the Taylor Swift CD"
Paige: "OK!"
They were on in a matter of seconds! No complaints!
Since she agreed, I told her she not only had to wear those grey shorts but all the other shorts she has too or the CD is going away. She agreed!

Skeeters, Skeeters Pumpkin Eaters, or not

Paige, we found last year, is allergic to skeeter bites. They swell up about golfball size on most bites, not all of the bites, but most. She has skeeter spray at school and she says they put it on her before there "nature walk" yesterday, but she is bitten up. I didn't notice at first, but then she got in the pool here for just a bit, cuoghed a few times, sneezed a few times, got out cause she was cold. She looked very tired, then after a while she was still freezing with goose bumps under a blanket, I was sweating! (but not complaining about that!) Took her temp it was a 100.5, I thought she ws just getting a cold, but after seeing the golf balls on the side of her legs, I am now thinking it was all part of the skeeter bites! UGG poor kid!
She is feeling better today, I am continuing with the motrin today to try and help the swelling and keep the fever away and will be stocking up on benadryl for next time.
I saw on theinternet earlier this week (yep, I was getting prepared) and saw that you can use baking soda and water, and make it a paste, so I tried that for the itching, it did not help her.
The Calamine lotion is the only thing that helped. It will be interesting for next time to see if the beadryl does help alot.

Reading.....

I have read 2 boks in the last 2 weeks, now this is coming from a woman who does not read....that's me of course. I beleive in my whole enitre 33 years of life, I have read, to it entirety, maybe 2 books, until this past few weeks.
I started with The Guardian, great love story with a happy ending, oh and if you plan to read any of the books I have, I will spill the ends, so no need to read further.
The 2nd book, The Choice, both by Nicholas Sparks. This second book I read in 2 days (yes, work is extrmely slow!) It was very sad, I didn't know it was going to end up soo sad! After reading the first part of the book, 2 neighbors falling in love and having a wonderful time while her boyfiend was out of town for a long 4 day weekend. Yes it was great, they fell in love in that short of time. I thought the The Choice was if she would dump her boyfriend and continue a relationship with this hotty/mcbody! neighbor or forget the weekend and continue with her boyfirend. Well, not the case at all. Ends up at the end of the book, which is 10 years or so later, after her and the neighbor were very happily married for years now, 2 kids and the picture perfect family, well there was a car accident and yes she is in acomma. The Choice is to keep her on life support or let her go! UGHHH, I was soo bummed, I wanted them to live happily ever after, a perfect ending. So have to say when I found she was in acomma, there were about 40 pages or so left of the book. I skipped to the very end and found she was still in acomma and am calling this a finish to the book.
I am now going to start another Nicholas Sparks book called Dear John, A book about the war and love, ohhhh, I can only imagine what will happen in this book.

Socks, shoes and a sweater...........ugh!

Yes, I am wearing all three today, because it is quite cool. The sun is starting to peak out for the first time in a long time, or at least it seems like a long time.
I am in desperate need of warmer/sunnier weather to stay chipper. My yard is also in need so the weed killer will actually work!
Paige's new faveorite thing to do is......................The Skate Park. No, she doesn't ride a skate board, better yet she runs up and down the ramps, grabs on with one hand, squirms her way up to the top and slide down! And she has what she calls "Good Moves!" And she really does very good. I am sure we will be back there again tonight and I will take my camera to share some pics!
Hopefully soon we will be putting up her pool in the backyard and maybe even go to the acutal pool. They go 1 time a week at daycare too, of course I am a nervous reck with that thought!

Where oh Where is the time going!

Wow, things have been very crazy.
We were really busy with the walk and everyone in town for that.
Then we unexpectedly had to leave town. RIP LISA.
We are now back. It has rained everyday I thin for the past few weeks and my weeds are taking over my yard. I did spray but the then it rained about an hour later, and even though the bottle says, rain proof in 30 minutes, my weeds have not shown any signs of dying at all.
So I will wait and try and tackle that when the sun comes back out and the temps are in the 80's.

My flowers, plants and trees on the other hand are looking absolutely awesome! They are as big now as they were at the end of the summer, I cannot wait to see the roses, clamatis and everything else bloom.

We are once again for I think the 5th weekend in a row headed out of town. Back to Estes for the Brew Fest! http://www.epbrewery.net/
I will help my sister out working a bit, while sipping a few beers as well. It is always a ton of fun and hopefully it will be rain free for a most of it!
But, I am heading down early Sunday for a day of pulling more weeds and laundry done!
