Recovering

Wow, what a very busy weekend we had!
Friday was the big day, she spent it with her dad, he took the day off and spend the entire day with her. Can you beleive I got home from work at 6p and they were just pulling up from being at the park and in town, She had her PJ's on still.
I said why are you still in your PJ's, She says "It's my birthday mom, I can do whatever I want!"
I said ok, Beleive me come my birthday next year, I will remind her of that when I stay in my PJ's all day! LOL!
On Saturday, my mom, sister, frined and I went to a 5k walk. Then we ran around and got stuff for the party, got to the house and painted! We got the first coat on in time to shower before our friends arrived for the party. We BBQ'd and ate cake and ice cream. Saturday night my sis and I indulged in a very delicious drink. It is orange juice, pinapple juice, bicardi limon and malibu rum. Felt like I was somewhere tropical! Sunday morning, we put another coat of paint on, finisher the room up and got ready for her friends to arrive, we took 3 cars to the pool and stayed for about 45 minutes, it was tons of fun with a bit of chaos! Got all the kids back to the house and ate pizza and yes! more cake. The kids all went home about 6p. Got Paige bathed and she fell asleep with her head on my shoulder at 710p. She was completly wiped out!
Her room looks awesome! She really likes it alot. Tonight we are off to her ballet recital and then her 5 year check at the doc, with shots. SHHHH I have not told her yet! It will be a suprise! I know I am mean, but the only way I will get her there!

K Roundup!

We went to the Kindergarden roundup at the school! It was soo mcuh fun. Paige saw all her little girlie friends and had tons of fun. I have never been in the school before and it is really cute!
The rooms are big and full of windows! Very nice. I grew up in a smaller town but not at all this small. They have this little mini petite gym and cafeteria! I was a bit worried about things being soo huge for her, but really it is just perfect! I am alot more nervous than she will be I think!
Went at lunch and got 2 gallons of paint. 1 gallon of Politely Purple and 1 gallon of Pink Chintz! I have no idea what Chintz means but the color is an amazing pink! She is gonna love it!
She is getting 3 Birthday parties, is she the luckiest kid ever or what! I got some really good pics of her the other day that I will post soon, she is looking sooo grown up!

A bowl of cereal

We are still fighting the "battle of breakfasts"
She likes something for a while and then it just gets old. But today I come here to say........
Paige ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast!!
I was shocked. I asked what she wanted and she said a bowl of cereal. I think yeah right, I 'm gonna get it for you and your not gonna eat it, so I prepared myself to make a 2nd choice.
Not today! She sat and ate almost the whole bowl. I was soo happy! Healthy, easy, filling breakfast!
We have a busy busy week. Kindergarden round up tomorrow night and getting things ready for the big day Friday. A party for her on Sat and Sun! She really wants her ears peirced. So I will try to suprise her with that this weekend too!
The Big B-day suprise is her room. I am going to paint her desk, her walls and I got her a very cute quilt for her bed. I am painting the walls her favorit colors. Pink and Purple. They are white right now, so I cannot wait, I have to fit all the painting in sometime this weekend as well. She knows what I up to, she just will not see it until it is all done! I gave her Dora decor to the girl down the street, and I think she was a bit lost without it last night, but she did well!

Pics

At PAige's B-day party last year all the kids planted there own plant in a bucket. Paige's sat on the back deck for the entire summer and come fall time, they got knocked off the side and fell onto the ground. Here they are this year, they actually grew into the gound (with no help) and aleady have flowers!

This was the snow day we had a few weeks back, for the entire day, Paige tried to kick her feet up onto the back of the couch, She was persitant with it most of the day and by bed time she got it!

Easter

We had a great time at Easter. The Easter bunny brought a basket for Paige and also one for Landon. Paige was very excited and wondered where my Easter basket was. I kind of stumbled, Good question! I told her the easter bunny just brings baskets for kids, and kids in Heaven. I questioned myself on weather it was a good idea to have the bunny hide a basket for Landon, I know I felt I wanted or needed to for myself but also wondered if that might confuse Paige and, I went with my heart and did it. She kept the stuffed duckie of Landon's so she could sleep with it. She was very excited to take it to the cemetary.
She ran up to his site and ususally when I say ok let's say a prayer she gets a bit scared and pulls away. Not this time, she folded her hands together and repeated me with the Father Son and Holy Spirit and stood tall next to me as we said a prayer. We blew kisses and she gave me a big hug!
It was all soo worth it!

Brighter

Well, it seemed as though my other design blog had become a bit dark. So I decided to brighten thing up a bit, I need brighter things!
We colored Easter eggs the other night. Paige had a ton of fun and only a few rolled onto the floor and cracked! Funny, Paige actually cried when the first hit the floor! I reminded her we had more of them and we would get even more since it broke! Oh the things we bribe with!
These days, I will pretty much bribe with anything that cuts the wimpers and moans shorter!
Please God give me more patience!
We are headed up to Estes to have Easter with my little, taller sister. (do you hear the jealousy in that?) And my niece and nephew, and maybe my dad. Being a nurse, my mom must work.
We are not having the traditional big meal. Instead we will have yummy, scumptious chicken dip, ham and pickle wraps, and torilla wraps. MMMMM! I am hungry!
The kids can color some more eggs and have a few egg hunts.
